White Sweet Clover (Melilotus Alba) is an annual or biennial forb in the Pea Family (Fabaceae). It’s native to Europe and Asia, blooms Jun-Aug and grows 2-7 ft. It’s commonly found as a weed in wet prairies, wet meadows, wetland edges, moist deciduous forests and road sides; likes moist to dry soils and partial shade to full sun exposure.
White Sweet Clover can grow as tall as 7 ft in nice moist soils; it’s usually very easy to hand pull. It was introduced to many parts of the planet as a forage crop.
