Willow Dock (Rumex Salicifolius) is a perennial forb in the Buckwheat Family (Polygonaceae). It’s native to Western North America. Blooms Jun-Aug and grows 3-4 ft. Commonly found in Wet Prairies, wet Meadows and Wetlands. It tolerates seasonal standing water to dry soils and full sun exposure.
Edible in small quantities, causes mineral deficiencies in large quantities. Leaves have an acid-lemon flavour.
