Red-Osier Dogwood (Cornus Sericea [Cornus Stolonifera) is a shrub in the Dogwood Family (Cornaceae). It’s native to Western United States and Canada, blooms May-Jun and grows 6-12 ft. It’s commonly found in wetlands, swamps, river banks and streams in forests. It can survive seasonal standing water and summer dry soils. It tolerates partial shade to full sun exposure.
Beautiful red stem colors in fall and winter make this plant an attractive ornamental all year round.
