Large-leaved Avens (Geum Macrophyllum) is a perennial forb in the Rose Family (Rosaceae). It’s native to most of North America, blooms May-Jul and grows 1-2 ft. It’s commonly found in forests and savannas; likes moist to dry soils and full shade to partial sun exposure.
Large-leaved Avens is native to all of Canada but only to Northwestern Mexico. It looks similar to Cinquefoil (Potentilla) plants when in flower.
